PCLL Fall Ball Registration Opens June 24: What You Need to Know

After more than a year of planning and preparation by the PCLL Board of Directors, we’re pleased to announce that PCLL will hold an inaugural fall ball season in 2022! Registration will open on Friday, June 24 at www.ply-canll.com – here’s what you need to know about Fall Ball:

Why We’re Doing It

We have regularly inquired about interest in a fall ball season in the annual survey we disperse to families at the end of our spring/summer seasons. The overwhelming majority of respondents have indicated that they’d be interested in a fall ball season with PCLL for the past several years.

Season Dates/Details

Similar to our spring/summer season, we’ll host TBall, Machine Pitch, Minors, Majors, and Intermediate/Junior divisions in baseball. We’ll also host Machine Pitch, Minors, Majors, and Intermediate/Junior divisions in softball.

Practices will begin in mid-August. Games will start the week after Labor Day and run through mid-October. We anticipate an 8-game regular season with games on Saturdays and some on weeknights for the older divisions. Minors and Majors divisions will not have a playoff, but teams will be awarded based on final season standings. Depending on the number of teams this fall, we may schedule interleague play with other area Little Leagues to fill out the schedule.

Will There Be Drafts for the Older Divisions?

No. Our plan is to keep returning players/coaches from the PCLL spring/summer season together for fall unless requested otherwise. We will fill in any gaps in teams accordingly while doing our best to honor player requests (especially in the lower divisions). We will work with coaches to achieve an even competitive balance. We will also accept players and/or teams that did not play in PCLL’s spring/summer season.

What’s the Cost – and What’s Included in Registration?

TBall ($80 per player), Machine Pitch ($90), Minors ($100), Majors ($110), Intermediate/Junior ($120)

Registration includes 8 games, 1 practice per week beginning in mid-August, and a uniform. The uniform will include a player jersey with their name on the back, socks, and a hat. Players will be asked to provide their own baseball pants for the fall season.
